The 28th black-tie awards ceremony will be hosted by Te Tohu Taakaro o Aotearoa Charitable Trust at the Vodafone Events Centre, Manukau on Saturday 24 November from 5.00pm.
The 28th prestigious Aotearoa Māori Sports Awards this November, will highlight the best elite Māori athletes, administrators, coaches and officials covering all sports as they vie for top honours in their various award categories.
These elite athletes will come from the incredible successful Gold Coast Commonwealth games where Māori athletes competed and won 39% of NZ’s total medal tally - World champion All Black & Black Ferns sevens, Waka Ama and many other world team and individual champions.
Accumulating in selection for the main highly esteemed, supreme award – The Albie Pryor, “Rongomaraeroa – Māori Sportsperson of the Year”.
The 28th black-tie awards ceremony will be hosted by Te Tohu Taakaro o Aotearoa Charitable Trust at the Sir Woolf Fisher Arena, Vodafone Events Centre, Manukau on Saturday 24 November from 5.00pm.
Elite Māori entertainment will be on display matching the elite athletes, full plated dinner and refreshments are included in your ticket.
This is a televised event and will be broadcast on Māori TV.
