We continue the long-standing tradition of Jazz at the Rotunda by keeping it fresh for everyone – this year catch some of the coolest, funkiest jazz acts in the city.
Experimenting with traditional acoustic jazz of the 21st century, Steve Thomas Electronic integrates elements of jazz instrumentation, ranging from acoustic and electronic drums through to guitars and synthesizers – it’s all about pushing the boundaries of percussion.
The Auckland City Scoundrels claim to be the boldest and brashest second-line band in all the land, serving up big renditions of juicy originals, flavourful New Orleans favorites, and crisp modern classics, straight to your earholes.
Miho's Jazz Orchestra led by flautist Miho Wada was formed to record a one-off charity album but they had so much fun they decided to stay together and see where the road took them. Seven albums and three EPs later, the fun continues at the Auckland Domain Rotunda!
