The 9 days Kilimanjaro Lemosho Route Climb is one of the lengthiest, most picturesque routes on Kilimanjaro and it is our ‘secret favorite’. You will traverse through tranquil trails that feature scenic grandeur. In the rainforest the exquisiteness of dawn’s light pierces the lush, emerald sward. Mist embraces the lichen coated bark and the melodic piping of a songbird splits the silence whilst the distinctive blue monkeys swing above. This leads to the smooth surfaces of the stunning Shira Plateau and the magnificent sight of the looming Lava Tower. Barranco Valley provides beautiful sights of the azure glaciers. Vast plains of Savannah are decorated with splotches of wildlife and there is a possibility of encountering elephants or buffalo. The Mweka Route is used to descend and you have a good chance of completing the 9 days Kilimanjaro Lemosho Route Climb due to the advantageous acclimatization conditions. Kilimanjaro captivates the hearts of those who reach the summit but this route exceedingly epitomizes Africa’s magnificence. Also the whole Trip Itinerary involved are; On Day 1, commence your journey from Moshi to Londorossi Gate, where you'll register for your climb before embarking on a scenic trek to Mti Mkubwa Camp, surrounded by Kilimanjaro's lush rainforests. Day 2 presents a trek from Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira 1 Camp, offering breathtaking views of Kibo peak as you traverse through Kilimanjaro's moorland and ascend the Shira Plateau. Day 3 is dedicated to acclimatization as you explore the Shira Plateau on day hikes, with the chance to witness distant volcanic eruptions from Ol Donyio Lengai. Day 4 involves a journey from Shira II Camp to Barranco Camp, passing through diverse landscapes, including the barren landscape of the Shira Plateau and the lush valley leading to Barranco Camp, offering stunning views of the Lava Tower and Barranco Wall. Day 5 takes you from Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp, navigating the challenging Barranco Wall before descending into the verdant Karanga River Valley. Day 6 sees you trekking from Karanga Valley to Barafu Camp, where you'll witness panoramic views of Kibo and Mawenzi peaks amid the alpine desert landscape. Day 7 marks the most challenging day as you ascend from Barafu Camp to Crater Camp, situated within Kilimanjaro's Kibo crater, offering unparalleled views of surrounding glaciers. On Day 8, commence your final ascent to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa, before descending to Mweka Camp, where you'll rest before your descent to Mweka Gate on Day 9.
