The Herald Theatre gives Auckland theatre-goers the chance to see work from independent theatre companies.

Seating just 186 people the theatre offers an intimate experience and specialises in contemporary drama. The theatre is also home to the Silo Theatre Company.

The theatre forms part of the Aotea Centre entertainment venue and is located on Mayoral Drive, not far from Auckland's bustling Queen Street.

While it is part of The Edge complex, the theatre has its own self-contained bar and outdoor area and a large foyer that can be used for pre or post theatre events
