The only authentic Spanish restaurant in the Auckland CBD, serving tapas and Mediterranean-style food. Waterfront location, regular entertainment, and Wednesday night is Tango Night!

Revelling in its relaxed and romantic ambience, Limon brings a little piece of Spain to Auckland's Viaduct Harbour. The menu is one of the most varied in the city - everything from light lunches, brunch and tapas to set menus and children's specials. Limon really goes all out to make sure everyone has the widest choice possible. Specialities include their Paella Valenciana, Moroccan Lamb Shank and, of course, that tapas staple - the Patatas Bravas.

One of the most popular dishes on Limon's extensive menu is the Continuous Tapas And Paella - it just keeps coming, until your belly begs you to stop (even if your tastebuds don't...). After all that, you might not have room for dessert, but it's something the Spanish are equally good at - try the classic Bananas el Rum. Just make sure to avoid the scales for a few days afterwards!

Wine lovers will be impressed with Limon's wide range of vintages (the Torres Rioja, surely??), not to mention their trademark sangria and large selection of imported bottled beers (the Estrella Dam comes straight from Barcelona), and for that must-have nightcap, their port and brandy menu will prove hard to resist.

Kitted out in rich, warm, earthy reds and ochre tones, diners can sit back and enjoy not only the fine food, but a touch of authentic Spanish guitar (Saturdays) or, if the sherry is doing it's job, get carried away with the seductions of the Tango dancers (Wednesdays). All this, as well as the friendly and personal service that is standard here, made Limon the "2010 Dine Out People's Choice Bronze Medal" winner.

Limon successfully combines delicious centuries-old Spanish tradition with contemporary New Zealand flavours, and is well worth a look while you're mooching around the Harbour.
