If you prefer a more relaxing way to see the gardens, take a ride on the Wiri Rambler 'tractor train' that carries up to 16 passengers on a 30 minute tour. The train operates on Sundays (and Saturdays during the summer).

The modern on site cafe is a chance to relax and enjoy the views overlooking the garden.

The Auckland Botanic Gardens are located 25 kilometres from downtown Auckland in Manurewa, South Auckland.

Opening Hours:

The admission to the Auckland Botanic Gardens is free.

Summer: Gate opening hours - 6:00a.m. - 8:00p.m.

Winter: Gate opening hours - 7:00a.m. - 6:00p.m.
