公園と庭園 ビーチ ポイントの興味

ロングベイリージョナルパークは、オークランドのノースショアに隣接する、面積970ヘクタールのオクラマリンリザーブの隣に位置しています。地域公園はたくさんの座席エリア、数多くのバーベキューステーション、そして子供向けの遊び場があるため、ピクニックスポットとして人気があります。

美しいビーチとオークランドのハウラキ湾の景色を楽しめることに加え、提供されている隔離感が多くの人々を引き寄せています。

ヨーロッパ人の開拓が始まる1850年代まで、ここで生活していた主要な部族グループは、Ngäti Kahuでした。1862年、ヴォーン家がロングベイで600ヘクタールを購入し、その土地で100年間羊の飼育を行っています。公園内では、トーベイ歴史協会によってその家族の家が現在の状態に修復されているのを見ることができます。

自然トレイルやオクラ川（1時間20分）、グランニーズ湾（20分）、ポフツカワ湾（35分）への海岸沿いのトレイルなど、多くのウォーキングトラックがあります。
