公園と庭園

ニューマーケットパークは、6ヘクタールの広さで、ニューマーケット、レムエラ、パーネルの間に位置しています。公園にはピクニックエリア、遊び場、池、駐車場があります。

ニューマーケットパークのアイ・ストリート入口には、Waitaramoaに触発された彫られた巨石があり、伝統的なpūhoto模様が描かれています。これは運動、速度、空気の動きを象徴し、この谷の響きを反映しています。

公園の高い部分には遊び場エリアと池があり、公園の残りの部分は急な斜面を下って、ニューマーケットストリームにつながり、東側のホブソン湾へと流れます。
