Newmarket Park

Auckland

Newmarket Park is set on 6 hectares and tucked between Newmarket, Remuera and Parnell. The park includes a picnic area, playground, pond and parking area.

The Aye Street entrance to Newmarket Park features carved boulders, inspired by Waitaramoa and traditional puhoto pattern symbolising movement, speed and of the air and echoing sounds of this valley.

The higher part of the park includes the playground area and pond while the rest of the park drops steeply towards Newmarket Stream that runs onto Hobson Bay, situated along the park's eastern edge.
