Start with a hotel pick-up in Auckland from select locations and travel through the Waikato countryside to Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland. Spend about 90 minutes discovering vibrant geothermal features like the Champagne Pool and bubbling mud pools, ideal for photos.
After lunch, continue to Te Puia for a 90-minute guided tour of Te Whakarewarewa Geothermal Valley to see the Pōhutu Geyser, the largest active geyser in the Southern Hemisphere. Visit the Kiwi Conservation Centre to view kiwis in a dedicated nocturnal enclosure.
