Tours in Auckland are probably the best way to make sure you don't miss any highlights while you're here. They also remove the hassle of organising an itinerary. Just sit back (or stroll), while someone else does the hard work.
Auckland Tours come in many shapes and sizes. Walking tours or driving tours, there's so much choice with dozens of companies offering all sorts of packages. Short tours might involve a ferry ride over to Devonport, or a stroll around bohemian Parnell. Others will take in a nice selection of beaches, or a wine trail or wildlife expedition. Staying in the city, you can hop on a sightseeing bus for the ultimate lounge-about, or be a little more exerted and join an historical walking tour around some cultural sights. Some half or full day tours will include trips to certain attractions, from whom the operator takes a commission, so do check itineraries carefully, to make sure you're seeing the things you want to see. Try something different, and tour the city on a Segway, or book a hot air balloon ride over wine country. The City of Sails has so much to see, and so many different ways of seeing it. Be adventurous.
