Description

Start this tour at Princes Wharf in Auckland city center, close to cruise terminals and hotels. You’ll be fitted with an electric bike, helmet, and a cycle-specific headset to follow your guide’s commentary safely. After a short orientation and practice ride, the tour begins.

You will cycle over Te Wero Bridge into the Viaduct area, then along Quay Street past landmarks such as the old Ferry Building and Queens Wharf, reaching the Britomart precinct known for its shops and restaurants. Next, use the electric bike’s power to cruise uphill on the Grafton Gully cycleway toward Karangahape Road (K Road), a neighborhood with a rich history and renewed vibrancy thanks to many new eateries and shops.

The route continues along Auckland’s iconic Pink Path cycleway to Ponsonby, a lively area with a notable past and thriving social scene.
