The Beginner Snorkel Tour
This tour has been specially tailored for people who are new to swimming or being in the ocean. Special safety equipment is used to keep you afloat that allows you to move naturally in the water. The aim of this tour is to get you confident in the water and fall in love with our ocean.
Advanced Snorkel Tour
Gain the confidence to explore, dive under the surface and learn new techniques in New Zealand's oldest marine reserve. This is perfect for people who are confident in the water and want to be shown the best spots in the reserve and shown the amazing marine life with a dive professional.
Snorkeling Boat Trip
Enjoy an epic half-day boat trip around the Leigh coast. See the sights and get to snorkel this incredible part of New Zealand.

Imagine what it is like to breathe underwater, to hover in a weightless world with marine life of all colours, shapes and sizes surrounding you.
Try Dive
This is a safe and exciting way to experience both scuba and the underwater world. You will start by learning about the equipment and safety of diving before being fitted into the gear. In shallow water, you will learn how to breathe and use the equipment. There are some safety skills to learn before heading to deeper water to explore the underwater environment. Allow 4.5 hours for this experience.
Guided Shore Dive
All dives are conducted from the shore, within the Goat Island Marine Reserve. Learn about the reserve and the fish species during a long dive As this is a shallow reserve you can can stay underwater for longer with dives typically lasting 70 to 80 minutess. Explore further out into the bay and see the true beauty this magical place has to offer.
Guided Dive Half Day Boat Trip
Experience a thrilling boat trip and dive around the Leigh coast with 2 amazing reserves full of life. With a wide range of dive sites, the team will always choose a site that is accessible for everyone on the day. Sites include 'rocky reefs' with crevasses and kelp forest, 'wall dives' to explore large structures with overhangs and hiding holes, 'caves', and 'drift dives' with the current doing the work for you.
Your Dive package includes:
- A half-day boat trip along the coast to the dive site.
- An epic guided dive in our slice of paradise.

Become A Certified Diver:
You can complete your Open Water Course and become certified to dive all over the world. Learning to dive with Goat Island Dive and Snorkel will qualify you to dive to a depth of 18m, with a buddy, anywhere in the world. Courses run over 3 consecutive days. This allows you to fully absorb yourself into diving, so you can get out exploring.
