Description
The flight begins at Waiheke Airport, set among local vineyards, providing immediate views of Waiheke Island’s coastline and beaches. The route follows the coastline before heading toward Auckland, passing Motuhie and Browns Islands.
Over the city, the plane performs a half-orbit around the Sky Tower, ideal for photography, then flies past the Harbour Bridge, Davenport Naval Base, and North Head Volcano. The flight continues to Rangitoto, New Zealand’s youngest volcano, flying just 500 feet (152 meters) above its summit for a clear view of the crater. The return flight heads back to Waiheke for landing.
