Description
Cruise from Auckland’s Viaduct across Tīkapa Moana, the Hauraki Gulf, to Hannaford’s Wharf in the Coromandel. From here, a complimentary shuttle connects you with Coromandel Town, making it easy to explore without bringing the car.
Spend the day discovering Coromandel Town’s cafés, shops and local attractions, or stay a little longer and use it as your starting point to explore more of the peninsula. With one-way and return ferry options available, you can plan anything from a day trip to a weekend away or longer summer escape.
The Auckland–Coromandel ferry returns from Friday 23 October, running Friday to Monday initially, with daily services from 27 November through until Easter. Additional transport options are available from Coromandel Town through Mad Campers, including rental cars, 50cc scooters and local tours.

- Includes shuttle to/from Coromandel Town Carpark (arrive 40 minutes prior to departure if departing from Coromandel to Auckland).
Our Coromandel ferry is a 2-hour service to/from Auckland Viaduct Harbour to Hannaford's Wharf (Coromandel).
Please note that:
Saturday's 12:00pm service (Coromandel to Auckland) includes a scheduled 1 hour 40-minute layover at Man O' War Bay, Waiheke Island, where passengers disembark the vessel.
Sunday's 9:30am outbound service (Auckland to Coromandel) includes a scheduled 1.5-hour layover at Man O' War Bay, where passengers disembark the vessel.
During these layovers, you are welcome to enjoy the beach, vineyard, or relax ashore before reboarding at the advised time.
