Description

On this tour, you'll be shown the must-visits of Auckland! Estimated duration is 4-5 hours, however all our tours are private & flexible, we can extend or skip points of interest on the day. Our sidecar taxi can safely seat two adults and potentially a third passenger with one being a small child. We can swap seats on stops so everybody has a go at sitting in the sidecar. We'll pick you up from an agreed location, then we'll head to the shore to see Auckland Harbor Bridge, a critical infrastructure that connects the Auckland Bay area and North Shore. Then, we’ll head to Mount Eden / Maungawhau, it’s the tallest volcanic mountain in the city. We'll do a short and easy walk up to the top viewing platform which offers a 360 degree view of the city. Our next stop will be the Auckland Domain - Museum - Winter Garden area. This is the oldest park in our city, a beautiful green area. We’ll take a walking tour around the Winter Garden and the general area. After leaving Auckland Domain, we’ll be heading to Achilles Point & Mission Bay: Besides the golden sand, there is an impressive view of the Rangitōtō Island across the water. You'll find rows of restaurants, cafes and storefronts here, we reckon this is the best place to grab a light lunch on our tour... or just an ice cream! We will then drive through Parnell Road and stop by the famous Holy Trinity Cathedral - well known for its pointed gables & striking stained-glass windows. Lastly, We will drive past University of Auckland - the best ranked university of New Zealand and come through Queens St. Before dropping you off at your preferred location/hotel. This is a low-intensity, family & senior friendly tour with 60% sightseeing and 40% riding time. There will be no highway ridings(unless by request)

Important Information

• We can certainly take 2 adult passengers, one sitting in the sidecar and one sitting behind the operator. We may also be able to take a small child in the sidecar with an adult in it also, making it three passengers total. If you book with three passengers, we will communicate with you to find out if we can take all three at once safely, if not, we could split the trip by dropping off and picking up the other adult at some point on the tour. In any case, we can rotate who-sits-where so everybody gets a go in the sidecar. We can not proceed with the tour if the operator deems it to be unsafe eg. intoxication - we can reschedule to a different day when the circumstances changes, or offer a full refund.
