Begin with a scenic journey from Auckland to Rotorua, passing through the rolling Waikato countryside. Pause in the town of Tirau, known for its distinctive corrugated iron buildings, for a coffee break before continuing to Te Puia.
At Te Puia, discover the geothermal and cultural center of Aotearoa. Witness the active Pōhutu Geyser, explore bubbling mud pools and steaming vents, and experience Māori heritage at the Māori Arts & Crafts Institute. Watch demonstrations of traditional carving and weaving, and see the iconic Kiwi bird in its natural environment.
The guided tour includes a cultural haka performance, illustrating traditional Māori strength and unity.
