Your journey begins in central Auckland aboard Dorothy, a genuine vintage London Routemaster double-decker. Settle into her classic interior or head upstairs for elevated views as you leave the city behind. Travel north via the Ōrewa coast, taking in seaside scenery before heading into Matakana’s rolling countryside.
Your first stop is Heron’s Flight for a hosted wine tasting. Discover this boutique winery’s distinctive approach to winemaking, meet the people behind the wines, and sample something a little different from the usual New Zealand wine trail. Wine purchases are optional and at your own expense.
