Description
Your day starts with a hotel pickup between 5:45 AM and 6:00 AM from SkyCity Hotel, 72 Victoria Street West, Auckland CBD. Be ready at least 10 minutes early; drivers are marked as ENZOY TOURS.
After a two-hour scenic drive through the Waikato region, stop for 15 minutes in Tirau. Stretch your legs, use clean restroom facilities, and enjoy coffee or light refreshments at a local café. Take photos of Tirau’s iconic dog- and sheep-shaped corrugated iron sculptures.
Proceed for another hour to Rotorua, where the tour picks up and drops off other travellers at various attractions. At 9:50 AM, board the Hell's Gate shuttle at iSite Rotorua to visit Hell's Gate Geothermal Park.
Explore the geothermal reserve on a self-guided walk through mud pools, vents, and sulphur lakes. Then enjoy a limited 20-minute mud bath or sulphur spa session. Lunch is available at Hell's Gate before boarding the shuttle back to iSite Rotorua at 1:30 PM.
Join a one-hour driving highlights tour of Rotorua, with stops to pick up and drop off fellow tourists and hotel guests.
On the return trip, stop by the scenic Waikato River for views and a short break.
