Description
Embark on a full-day scuba diving charter off Little Barrier Island, renowned for its diverse marine environment close to Auckland. Keep watch for orcas, dolphins, whales, common dolphins, and sharks throughout the journey.
Dive along the sandy slopes on the southern coast and explore the dramatic walls and pinnacles on the northern side, teeming with fish and invertebrate life nestled among kelp forests. Discover crevices inhabited by various crayfish species including red and packhorse crayfish, occasionally encountered during dives.
Observe large red moki and the less common painted moki sharing underwater shelters or swimming through the seaweed above. Swim alongside eagle rays, long- and short-tailed stingrays, leatherjackets, and wrasse in this diverse marine habitat. Notice schools of demoiselle and blue maomao over sponges and near the island.

- Charter is weather dependent; cancellations due to weather will be rescheduled or refunded.
- Diving within 48 hours of flying is not recommended.
- All participants must complete a health questionnaire; certain medical conditions (e.g. asthma, heart conditions) may restrict diving—consult your doctor beforehand.
- This dive is for experienced divers with at least 10 logged dives and open water certification.
- Inexperienced divers may book but must pay locally for a dive guide upon arrival.
