Explore Auckland’s iconic natural landscape with a full-day kayak adventure across Waitemata Harbor. After a safety briefing and paddling instruction, paddle through the harbor where you may spot wildlife such as Little Blue Penguins and Cooks Petrels.
Upon arrival at Rangitoto Island, home to Auckland’s youngest and most active volcano, undertake a gentle 1-hour hike to the summit. Discover native Pohutukawa trees and over 200 native plant species growing among the volcanic scoria rocks. From the summit, enjoy panoramic 360-degree views across the region.
Return to the shoreline for a hearty Kiwi-style picnic lunch with hot and cold drinks. Time permitting, take a refreshing swim before packing the gear back into the kayaks. The return paddle to St Heliers Bay may include use of a sail to assist your journey back safely.
