Description
Experience the thrill of the SkyRide, the world's highest lift-and-descent ride, at Auckland's iconic Sky Tower. Begin by getting harnessed into a comfortable seated position at the bottom of the tower. Then, ascend the exterior of New Zealand's tallest building at six meters per second, traveling faster than the tower's own internal lifts.
As you're pulled 53 stories to 192 meters, the city views unfold beneath you: the Waitematā Harbour, the Westhaven Marina, the volcanic cones of Tāmaki Makaurau, and the Waitākere Ranges to the west. Enjoy the view as you rise.
One moment you're suspended above the city in quiet awe, and the next you're dropping in a high-speed controlled descent back to the bottom. The whole experience is over in around 90 seconds, and it caters to all kinds of people.
