Experience Waiheke’s distinctive soil, climate, and vines on the Best Cellar Tour. Taste 10 to 15 wines at three carefully selected boutique vineyards. Enjoy a leisurely lunch at a vineyard or beachside restaurant while taking in panoramic island views. Local guides provide commentary, sharing unique stories and revealing scenic spots.
Your day starts with the 10am ferry from Auckland's Matiatia Wharf. On arrival, your guide will meet you for the tour. If you plan to arrive on the 9am ferry, please contact us to arrange an earlier pickup.
Sample Itinerary
- 09:00 – Arrive at Auckland ferry terminal for 9am sailing to Waiheke
- 10:00 – Depart Auckland on Fullers ferry (or 9:15am Island Direct Ferry) to Waiheke Island, or pickup from your accommodation
- 10:40 – Ferry arrives at Waiheke Island
- 11:00 – 1st vineyard wine tasting
- 12:00 – 2nd vineyard wine tasting
- 13:00 – Lunch stop (cost not included)
- 15:00 – 3rd vineyard wine tasting
- 15:40 – Tour ends; depart Waiheke on 4pm ferry to Auckland or drop off at accommodation (Island Direct Ferry departs 4:20pm)
