Description
Discover Waiheke Island’s wines on a scenic guided tour with a small group visiting boutique vineyards. Take a morning ferry from Auckland across the Hauraki Gulf to Waiheke Island, where your guide meets you upon arrival. During the tour, enjoy lively commentary and photo stops while traveling to local vineyards for wine tastings.
Learn about the island's history and culture at each stop. After tasting, you may choose to have lunch at the final winery or at one of the many dining venues in the seaside village of Oneroa. The tour includes a transfer back to the ferry terminal, or you can opt to stay longer and return independently. Ferry tickets are not included.

Important Information
- Meet at the Matiatia ferry terminal at 9:15am for the Island Direct ferry (bookable) or the Fullers 9:00am walk-up ferry. Look for your name on the black welcome board or wait inside the ferry terminal’s Information Centre.
- The fully commentated scenic tour includes photo stops and visits to three premium vineyards with a food and wine pairing at one winery.
- Lunch stop around 2pm is available at Mudbrick Archive, Oyster Inn, Vino Vino in Oneroa village, or other local eateries. Booking lunch during the busy season is recommended.
- Your guide arranges transfer back to the 4pm ferry, or you may stay longer and catch a later ferry independently.
