Description
Start your day at 10:00 am with a hosted wine tasting at Mudbrick Vineyard, known for its stone buildings, Mediterranean-style gardens, and views over Rangitoto and Auckland’s skyline. This guided tasting introduces you to Waiheke’s grape varieties and wine culture, with time to enjoy the scenery and take photos.
At around 11:00 am, visit The Heke, Waiheke’s craft distillery and brewery set within gardens and lawns. Take a behind-the-scenes tour of the distillery and sample whisky, gin, and vodka. The experience suits both casual visitors and spirit enthusiasts.
By midday, arrive at Batch Winery, the island’s highest vineyard. Enjoy shared platters made from local produce paired with a glass of wine included in the tour price while overlooking vineyards and coastal waters.
Around 2:00 pm, visit Allpress Olive Groves for extra virgin olive oil tasting and learning about the growing, harvesting, and pressing process. This tasting refreshes your palate after wine and spirits and highlights Waiheke’s diverse food culture.
The official tour ends around 2:40 pm. From here, your guide can drop you at Oneroa Village to continue exploring, shopping, or relaxing by the beach, a 10–15 minute walk from the ferry. Alternatively, you can be dropped at Matiatia Ferry Terminal around 3:40 pm for a direct return.
