Description

After being picked up from your inner city accommodation, you will travel south through the Waikato and King Country through beautiful farmland. Plenty of photo stops to capture the moments when we begin to follow New Zealand's longest river, the mighty Waikato. On arrival at Waitomo Caves you will enter the Glowworm Caves, where you will see deep limestone shafts and soaring subterranean cathedral like spires that will leave you speechless before boarding a small boat and are enchanted by the thousands of magical glow-worms above as you glide gently and quietly through these world famous Caves. On arrival at Hobbiton's Shire’s Rest, embark on a magical Hobbiton movie set tour. You will see 44 hobbit holes including Bilbo’s house. “Bag End”, the Mill and double arch bridge and the Party Tree. At this stunning location you can take a photo at the door of Bag End, looking out over the whole of Hobbiton to the hills in the distance. You return to your Auckland accommodation in the early evening.
