Description

Explore Waiheke Island underwater with an entry-level diving experience. The activity is a great way to give SCUBA a go for the first time. Enjoy an intimate and personalized experience with a small group and high-quality equipment. Begin with a chat about what you are likely to see, a thorough safety briefing, and an equipment demonstration. You will be provided with high-quality equipment so all you need to bring is your swimwear, a towel, and a sense of adventure. Your guides choose the best location to take you to, depending on the weather conditions on that day, and then pair you with a friend or a fellow traveler for your time in the water. In super shallow water, run through some basic skills, all designed to keep you comfortable for your first experience of breathing underwater. Then, under the expert guidance of your certified PADI instructor, enter the water to explore and see what can be found. Go deeper than just snorkeling and get a closer look at the activity happening underwater. There will be fish swimming, starfish making their way across the rocks, and crabs darting in and out of their hiding holes.

Important Information

• You need to be able to swim, be in good health, have a reasonable level of fitness to participate, and understand spoken English
• The minimum age is 12 years old and those under 18 years old require parental or guardian consent
• There is a maximum of 2 divers in the water per instructor and each session can take up to 4 divers taking turns with 2 in the water at a time
• The experience takes around 3 to 4-hours from start to finish
