Description

Venture out of the city and experience some of the best places to see near Auckland. Climb aboard your deluxe coach tour in the morning and head south, winding through rural New Zealand. Take in scenic rolling hills and picturesque farmland which make up the Waikato region and enjoy a short break for morning tea (included) en route.  Upon arrival at Waitomo Caves, embark on a guided tour that’ll take you into the heart of this subterranean wonderland, wind through tunnels and caverns on foot then hop on a small boat and glide down an underground river into the famous Glowworm caves, lit by the bioluminescence of thousands of tiny glowworms. Allow your eyes to adjust as you board your coach for the onward journey to Rotorua. Tuck into a picnic lunch on board and listen as your driver provides informative commentary along the way.  In Rotorua, get your fill of adrenaline and experience the thrill of rolling downhill inside an Ogo (a giant inflatable ball). Feeling alive, climb back aboard your coach and drive along the foreshore of Lake Rotorua to see the historic Government Gardens en route to your final stop, Te Puia. Upon arrival at Te Puia, learn about Māori culture in New Zealand and enjoy a traditional performance before exploring the Māori Arts & Crafts Institute to see how ancient wood carving and textile weaving techniques have been passed down to today's generation. After an epic day exploring Waitomo and Rotorua, board your coach one last time for the return journey to Auckland.
