Urged on by an unsatisfied yearning for authentic Mediterranean or Israeli cuisine in New Zealand, the in-house chef and driving force behind the bistro's healthy, simple and hearty food policy, has been passionate about her trade since first leaving her native Israel as a student.

Influences from right across the Mediterranean seaboard are tempered by Middle Eastern classics like falafel and shakshuka, and there are a number of options for veggies and vegans too.

The wine list boasts and array of bottles from France, Spain and even Argentina, along with a number of local Otago classics.
