Stardome Observatory and Planetarium

Auckland

Stardome's space centre and galleries are vibrant and hands-on, and place science and mātauranga Māori alongside each other with the aim of reconnecting manuhiri to the cosmos.

In combination with Stardome's 360-degree indoor dome planetarium and telescope viewing, it offers visitors a chance to learn how to identify stars and planets in the skies above Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland.

When weather permits there is evening telescope viewings after the evening shows in the courtyard.  For a truly magical experience book an experience with the magnificent Zeiss telescope in its dome that opens to the sky.

School visits can get hands-on with shows, exciting science experiments and outdoor rockets. Stardome is open in all weather, daytime and evenings.
