Always busy, the Angus Steak House is a meat-eater's paradise, with that delicious aroma of prime New Zealand beef wafting out onto the street, making the restaurant hard to pass. The atmosphere is always convivial, with a comfortable, low-lit interior and outside terrace, which is just brilliant in summer.
Indulge in some oysters or squid rings for your starter, before selecting your preferred meat, which is then cooked to your exact order, and complemented by the varied and well-stocked salad bar. Optional sides include oysters, potato wedges with sour cream (always a favourite), sauteed mushrooms and fries.
This is a good, honest steak house, serving filling, big-portioned food to an always-satisfied clientele of unashamed carnivores. With a fantastic wine and beer selection, and mouthwatering list of desserts, too, be prepared to spend more than a couple of hours in here.
