Sailing Away - School of Sailing

Sailing Away School of Sailing works with students of all levels to develop sailing skills in scenic Auckland Harbour.

From beginner level to advanced, Sailing Away School of Sailing teaches the skills needed to skipper a yacht. These lessons include all of the practical aspects of sailing, including safety, navigational skills and controlling the helm. Sail Away is also certified to qualify students with the ICC (International Certificate for Operators of Pleasure Craft).

Courses can be selected to suit the needs and abilities of each student - from one-off beginner lessons to five-day practical courses. Whether simply keen to learn the ropes or interested in gaining the skills needed to successfully crew a yacht, Sailing Away School of Sailing has something for you.

Sailing Away also offers a charter service for full day adventures around Auckland Harbour or half-day trips to Rangitoto Island. The 32-foot yacht is skippered, but passengers (no matter how experienced) on these trips are invited to take part in the sailing the boat.
