Silo Park is founded in an unlikely spot - a plot of land by the waterfront that used to be where cement was stored while the city was being developed. The cement silos are still standing, though no longer hold cement. Instead, the area has been turned into one of Auckland's most unique public spaces.

Over the summers, an array of events attracts visitors to Silo Park. One of the most popular events is the Silo Cinema, in which movies are projected onto Silo7 for an outdoor movie theatre experience. Bring a blanket and come by early to make sure you get a good spot!

Close to the park is Auckland's Fish Market, Auckland Event Centre and a great selection of restaurants. With the variety of dining options lining the waterfront up to Silo Park, silo Park is a popular place with families and offers a great day out.
