The Stafford Road Wine Bar was opened in 2009 and has become a popular venue in Auckland's Northcote Point.
With inspiration from European wine bars which combined a bar and wine cellar on the same premises, the Stafford Road Wine Bar was opened when owners Simon and Jacquie Mackenzie bought the Point Wines cellar where the wine bar is now based.
The continuously revised wine list provides a thoughtful and versatile range of carefully selected wines - most offered by the glass. On top of this, choose from four tap craft beers, thirty-plus craft beers by the can/bottle, superior spirit offering, and a selection of curated Stafford Rd cocktails.
The menu boasts some exquisitely presented, flavoursome tapas and small plates to share and enjoy.
The interior of the bar reflects the preserved the old world, rustic character of this charming building built in 1911. The bar could easily be a speakeasy straight out of the roaring '20s with a modern touch.
