An alternative way for independent travellers to see New Zealand, combining comfortable travel on the country's public transport network, with private coaches, guides and pre-booked accommodation.

NZVentures is an experienced company that knows it's own country like the back of its hand. It also knows that everyone is an individual so, although their tours have itineraries, they also include flexibility, so that travellers can choose to see more of one location and skip others. They can also choose 'Hot Spots' - places they particularly wish to see and are able to spend more time in and do as they please, before rejoining the scheduled tour later on. All accommodation and transport is included, and is based on self-catering hotels and apartments. Food is not included although, as accommodation is self-catering, there will be numerous stops during each journey at supermarkets and shops for travellers to 'stock up' on the necessities.

Head To Toe: 12 days min. A whistle stop tour of New Zealand's finest sights, including Rotorua, Queenstown, the glacier regions, and Mackenzie country.

Top n Tail: 16 days min. A complete tour of both North and South Islands, taking in Rotorua, the West Coast, South Island Lakes and Pacific Coast.

Venture South: 5 days min. Rotorua, Taupo and Wellington, then across on the ferry and the TranzCoastal train down to Christchurch.

Northern Steam: 5 days min. The Maori culture of Northland and then down to the volcanic pleasures of Rotorua, activities on Lake Taupo and back to Auckland.

Venture North: 6 days min. Excitement in Rotorua and Lake Taupo before heading to Wellington, a trip to Art Deco Napier and then relax in the surf town of Mount Maunganui.

Top Tip: 3 days min. Stunning landscape at the tip of the North Island. Cape Reinga, Paihia and Auckland.

Whale Of A Time: 9 days min. Whale-watching in Kaikoura, the arts of Nelson, Abel Tasman National Park, West Coast, Queenstown, Dunedin and Lake Tekapo.

Venture West: 7 days min. TranzAlpine trip over the Southern Alps. Queenstown adventures, Dunedin, Mackenzie country and back to Christchurch.

Hot Spots you can add to your itinerary include: Cape Reinga, Bay of Islands, Milford Sound, The Catlins, Abel Tasman National Park, Ski Queenstown.
