Foodies flock to this traditional Chinese eatery to try the legendary Peking duck that's fabled to be one of the best in all of New Zealand. But, aside from its famous trademark dish, the Empress Garden is much-loved for the authentic Asian ambience that's made possible by the proliferation of traditional Chinese decorations, from the red paper lantern lights to the authentic temple-style apses that embellish the exterior façade.
