Artis Gallery

Located in the heart of Parnell, ARTIS Gallery is one of Auckland’s leading contemporary dealer art galleries, presenting the work of established, mid-career and emerging New Zealand artists.
 
Established in 1984, ARTIS Gallery entered a new chapter in 2023 under new ownership, continuing its longstanding focus on contemporary New Zealand art while presenting a dynamic programme of exhibitions and artists. ARTIS has a particular focus on contemporary painting and sculpture and is especially recognised for its presentation of sculpture on its outdoor plinth.
 
ARTIS presents a monthly programme, with exhibitions running for two weeks before making way for a curated selection of works for the following fortnight. The programme showcases a diverse range of New Zealand artists, offering visitors something new to discover throughout the year.
 
ARTIS is located alongside Jonathan Grant Gallery, offering visitors the opportunity to experience two complementary dealer gallery spaces in one location. While ARTIS focuses on contemporary New Zealand art, Jonathan Grant Gallery presents a distinguished selection of historical, classical and New Zealand paintings and sculpture.
 
The two galleries also share an expansive Basement Gallery, providing additional space to explore paintings and sculpture, including larger-scale works.
 
ARTIS and Jonathan Grant Gallery provide professional advice for private and corporate collectors, including assistance with artwork selection, collection development, framing, packing and shipping.
