Manukau Symphony Orchestra celebrates its 25th Anniversary with Handel's 'Music for the Royal Fireworks' - an utterly breathtaking piece of work designed for an outdoor fireworks display to celebrate the Aix Peace Treaty of 1749. We welcome all to join us for this celebration.

New Zealand's favourite classical pianist, Michael Houstoun, will perform with conductor, Uwe Grodd, for two concertos - J. S. Bach's 'Concerto in D minor' one of the first works written specifically for piano and orchestra, followed by the incredible 'Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini' for piano and orchestra by Rachmaninov.

MSO adds a touch of romance with Tchaikovsky's 'Romeo and Juliet' Fantasy Overture - highlighting the tragic story of the two lovers. We experience the dramatic conflict of the two families, the delicate love-story - with pillow talk - and the transfiguration of the unhappy lovers as they are released from their mortal toils.

Eventfinda holds limited number of tickets and the Manukau Symphony Orcestra holds majority of the theatre seats.
