Fifty years ago, amateur pilot Cliff Tait set off from Hamilton on a one-man mission to fly around the world.

Discover the incredible adventures he had flying ‘Miss Jacy’, his tiny single engine Airtourer 115, in this new exhibition in the Walsh Memorial Library. Weekdays only.

“I learnt more than just how to fly an aeroplane. I learnt about people. …people who regardless of race, creed or colour always made me feel welcome.” - Cliff Tait, 1971
