Vodafone Events Centre and Vector Wero Whitewater Park are owned and operated by Second Nature Charitable Trust (SNCT) which was founded in 2000.  One of the Trust’s main goals is to support the community, especially our youth, to develop the skills and tools they need to succeed in school and in life.

Vector Wero Whitewater Park is New Zealand's world class tourism destination and its first facility to offer an artificial river and water course for recreation, sports, and emergency services training, school programmes and youth development.
 
It has four main areas of activity: the Tamariki River, River Rush, the Pacific Gardens Lake and the Pump Waterfall.
 
  • Tamariki River is a Grade 1-2 recreational white water course for beginners, kids and families.
  • River Rush is an advanced 300m Grade 3-4 course and has the equivalent of an Olympic swimming pool being pumped down it every 95 seconds. It is also used for high-performance training and national and international competitions.
  • The Lake is a 9,000 sqm beautifully clear man-made lake for flat water kayaking and stand up paddle boarding.
  • And finally, the Pump Waterfall is a 4.5m drop down the highest artificial rafted waterfall in the world and is the highlight of the River Rush Rafting and Kayaking experience.
